1. Visit Any Vet: You are not restricted to specific clinics or hospitals. Take your pet to any licensed veterinarian in the U.S. or Canada for care.
2. Submit Your Claim: After paying your vet bill, submit your claim through our online Member Center or through the Spot Pet Insurance app.
3. Get Paid: Once your claim is processed, you'll receive reimbursement for covered expenses directly to your bank account via direct deposit or through a check – the choice is yours.

At what age should I insure my pet?
Spot does not have an upper age limit for new enrollments and your pet will never age out of our coverage. Our best advice is that pet parents enroll their pets while they are still young, before they have the change the develop a “pre-existing condition” before they’re insured. Spot can cover kittens and puppies as young as 8 weeks old.
How are my pet insurance premiums calculated?
In general, your monthly premium is based on your pet’s age, breed, and your location, as well as your plan configuration. Spot allows pet parents to choose a deductible, reimbursement rate, and annual limit from a variety of options, each which play into the cost of your monthly premium. Opting into a preventive care add-on or eligibility for a discount can also affect the price of your premium.
